Community Enhancment Grants

Community Enhancement Funds, like the Wausau•Marathon County Fund, are the Community Foundation's most flexible resources in providing funding for innovative projects that have a positive impact on enriching life in our community. Application deadline (to be electronically submitted) is 5 p.m. on the first business day of March, June, September, and December. Applicants are encouraged to discuss their project ideas with Foundation staff prior to completing an application.

Beyond Pencils & Crayons Grants

Beyond Pencils and Beyond Crayons Grants are available to K-12 teachers throughout Marathon County to initiate innovative and creative projects and programs that enhance their curriculum. Through a competitive review process, our selection committee looks for proposals that fill a specific need, are cost-effective, provide educational value, and demonstrate a sense of community. Application deadline (to be electronically submitted) is 5 p.m. on April 2, 2012.

Community Arts Grants

The Community Arts Grant Fund encourages cooperation and expansion of arts opportunities within our area. Grants are awarded for projects and programs that reinforce the quality and diversity of the arts in north central Wisconsin. Application deadline (to be electronically submitted) is 5 p.m. on April 2, 2012.

Make a Difference Day Grants

Saturday, October 20 is "Make A Difference Day," a national day of helping others - a celebration of neighbor helping neighbor. The Volunteer Center Special Projects Fund can help students throughout Marathon County participate in volunteerism by providing grants of $50 - 250 to teachers willing to implement a "Make A Difference" project involving their students. The grant can be used to provide transportation, or to purchase necessary supplies or equipment for your project. Application deadline (to be electronically submitted) is 5 p.m. on September 15.
